I wish I would have known it was a serial story and not a series. I was expecting a conclusion to the story. and it isn't just 1 book you have to purchase, but 2!I HATE when the story doesn't finish and you have to buy the rest of the story to find out the ending. Ultimately, the story isn't FREE like it was advertised in the post.
I have purchased several different series by reading a free story from an author when I enjoy the books so much I want more. I feel like I am being extorted here.

I would not have bothered to get this if I realized it was only 'part 1'. The story is OK, and there are some interesting characters, but now I'm going to need to get 'part 2'. It's a romance, for pity sakes, not War and Peace!
What I read of the story I liked, but I wasn't aware that this wasn't a completed story. If I had, I wouldn't have bothered to read this, even with it being a free download. I started to get a bad vibe when I reached to 96% mark on my kindle, and there was still no hint of an ending.
I really, really hate when authors do this. I would rather wait and get the whole story all at once, then to get to the end of a book and find there's no ending, unless you're willing to buy the next book. Well this time it's going to back fire, because as god as it was...I refuse to play these games and won't be buying the next installment.
This is only a portion of the book. If you want the rest of the story, you need to purchase it in sections. I didn't realize that when I chose this book. I probably wouldn't have read it if I knew that I had to get it in multiple sections. Just when I was getting into the book (because I do like the story and I like the characters), the book was over and I had to go look for the rest of if I wanted to finish the story. If you don't mind purchasing your book in separate sections, then you will probably like the story. I am just frustrated, because I didn't realize it was only a partial book. It is likely my own fault for not paying closer attention, but thought I would let others know, just in case they didn't realize it.
Enjoyed this story very much, but would have more enjoyed the story if it was a full length book. Enjoyed the characters, the ranch visualization was a huge plus. Great writing style and wonderful depth to the characters. Didn't want to put the book down so quickly, and it seemed like I started reading, and I was done. I like the substantial sized books to get more out of the story in one sitting. Still, this was a great story and I would recommend it if you do not mind the book broken into two parts.
I am usually a Susan Mallery fan, but I was very disappointed by the fact that the book abruptly stopped. She has essentially taken a story and broken it into 3 "books". I would have preferred to have paid once for the entire book. I was enjoying the storyline, but refuse to pay for 2 more pieces of the story.
I hate to admit it but I really liked this story, just not liking that it is only part 1. It starts out with Randi running out of her wedding minutes before she is suppose to walk down the isle. Just before she runs out of the church, she hides in a small room and overhears two men talking. They pull a gun on her but she gets away. So Randi is on the run wanting to get away from her wedding but also from the men who want to kill her. She moves from town to town, taking whatever job she can find and ending up getting a job on a large ranch where she was hired by the ranch owner, Brady, as a groom. I liked Randi because she was standing up for herself and she found out she was stronger than she thought. Brady was very kind - too kind usually - and always took in strays - both human and animal strays.
Even though I liked it and love Ms. Mallery's books, my star rating kept going down as I read this book and thought about
it after. I don't like it being in 3 parts. I would rather have it all in one book and pay the total price all at once. I am going to stay clear of stories like this from now on.
Rita Howard and Hal,were to be marry today, this was their day,Rita mother prepared the Wedding.Rita realize she didnot love hal,and that she was making a big mistake she was thinking how could she get out of it.Rita ran into some trouble,there were men shooting,she did'nt know whether or not they were shooting at her or someone else.Rita left town leaving her Wedding,family she hitch hike her way to another town,where she met Brady,Brady was a rancher he had his own business,he hired Rita,she told Brady her name was Randi they were working together they begin to have affections toward one another,Bady tried to castdown those thoughts he were having towards Randi, he did'nt want anyone to know he is attracted to his employee.
Will Brady see Randi only as a employee or see her as someone special and dear to him?Randi doesnot know how much longer she will stay at Bady's ranch,she's
running for her life,the hit men are on her trail.
This is why it's very important that we seek the Lord concerning who we will marry it will save you a hold lots of problems,When the Lord send you a mate there's peace, the walls come down,you have the same goals you can trust one another.Rita left a place where there was nothing but drama,and went to the place the Lord was leading her,place where she could find peace,a new start.
