As a Bible scholar, I am slow to choose fictional stories based on historical fact and as a Christian, I consider the story of Noah and the Arc historical fact. The deeper truths which are hinted upon in Biblical accounts such as the Sons of God and the Nephilim are available to be fleshed out with literary freedom. I believe Vaughn Heppner holds true to historical accounts and even ancient literature such as the "Book of Enoch" and "Epic of Gilgamesh" which this story doesn't go into, although it is a good lead in. Noah had to have been a very strong character in those days, which were some of the worst days of mankind's history, as we are doomed to repeat ourselves. I appreciate this piece of work and will seek out other historically based works of Vaughn Heppner in the future. A thrilling read from the first to the last page!

People of the Tower Vaughn Heppner 9781544971230 Books Reviews

This is a story about the period of time the tower of Babel was built and completed. But God came down to confuse the language of the people and fighting broke out. God used lightning to strike the tower and exploded it. Then the people were scattered to different parts of the earth according to their language they had understood one another. It was a detailed and intersting book to read.
Amazing work! So inspiring how the author is able to conjure the unknowns of the Bible. Highly recommend. Would love another to add to the series.
I loved all 4of the Ark Chronicles. They gave me a look into the times and the people of Jehovah. Followed Noah and his family before, during, and after the mighty Flood when Jehovah punished the earth and everything on it for their evil ways. It was fiction but it opened a door into that time and how people lived . This story made the people come alive and of how they existed on the Ark. Loved every one of the four books. Couldn't put them down.
Got hooked on Vaughn Heppner through his Doom Star Series and ventured out into his biblical fiction. A great supplement to old testament religious reading in that it provides a little creative enhancement to color in the story. Not for everyone, but it did help me to reenergize my studies and enthusiasm with my religious reading. Purchased and read all of the Lost Civilizations and Ark Chronicle, Lod, and Doom star series. Waiting for more...
Vaughn Heppner has taken some of the little Bible stories from Genesis that we learned as children and has expanded them into the Ark Chronicles. I just finished reading the entire series and found it to be absolutely fascinating. The characterizations are beautifully done in Heppner's epic, the dialogue logical and believable. Humanity, with all its flaws and virtues and strivings to survive, is faithfully portrayed.

In spite of some misused or missing words (my only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5), the books are very well done. Heppner is an excellent writer and story-teller, bringing the period and the people to life. I found it extremely hard to put down, was almost irritated if anyone interrupted my reading, and was sorry to see it end. I hope Heppner will continue his Genesis-based novels. I will definitely read more of his work and recommend it to everyone who enjoys historical epics.

Well done, Mr. Heppner!
I gave the 1st book of the series 5 stars. The next 2 almost made me not read the last one and I didn't bother writing a review for them. But over all I am glad I read them all and the last book did redeem the series. But the fact that there is one female character (I don't want to spoil) that is unresolved is bothering me. She was a sweet and faithful character filled with tragedy. When the book was over it never answered was she doomed or delivered. Was she taken care of and if so by who? It says what her husband stayed in his state of immoral. I wish the story didn't forget her. For such a big void I gave it only 3 stars. Other than that it was a good story.
Vaughn Heppner has been absolutely prodigious in his production of written works and has taken full advantage of the e-revolution to reach directly to an audience without the intervention of a big-name book publisher. His strategy has been a resounding success, as he has developed a following and popularity that seemed beyond him when publishers first declined to put out his books. Their loss!

This series follows Noah (of the ARK fame) and his family, starting with a period before the flood and following all the way through to the Tower of Babel, all told through a retrospective framework by Ham (one of Noah's sons) to the Pharoah who was striken by God when he took Sarah (Abram / Abraham's wife) as a concubine/wife. Ham takes pharoah through several different stories all of which point out the awesome power of the God of Abraham and Sarah to convince pharoah that he does not want to go up against God almighty and prompt him to return Sarah to Abraham. The characters are fairly well developed and the story seems just shy of awesome. There are a few unfortunate spelling and grammatical errors, as often crop up in direct to e-market books without the assistance of constant professional editing, but the stories make it easy to overlook these niggling problems. Heppner spans the vast universe of fiction taking us from this series of ancient earth (along with a series from even earlier in history in the "Giants" series) to near space opera in his "Doom Star" series making forays into military fiction ("Invasion Alaska") and, a little less successfully, into a science-fiction spy-type story with "Accelerated". Enjoyable, light-hearted fare, interesting topics, fun reads that will leave you wanting for more. Heppner is quickly developing a writing style and a talent for story-telling that is sure to make him a huge success. Try him out, you won't be disappointed.
